Jo Ann Nuckles

Jo Ann Nuckles, 79, of Ripley passed into heaven on June 20, 2018. Jo Ann was born October 18, 1938, the eldest child of Gay and Grace (Cleek) Anderson of Kenna. She was a graduate of Ripley High School and retired from Jackson General Hospital with 29 years of service. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, camping, and going to the family farm. Following retirement, she was active in the Ripley Senior Citizens. She never met a stranger and loved being around people, but was the most content when surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gene Nuckles; Son Steve Nuckles and daughter Sandy (Joe) Grady all of Ripley; Grandson Joey (Amber) Grady of Washington, PA; Granddaughter Emily Grady of Ripley; Sisters Vickie (Bobby) Ranson and Becky (Jack) Juniper, all of Kenna; and sister-in-law Karen Anderson of Kenna. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Brother Ronnie Anderson. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23rd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Lymon Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the A.L. Anderson Family Cemetery, Kenna. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jo Ann’s memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
