Joe E. Curry

Joe E. Curry, 88 of Sandyville, passed away May 30, 2022 at Jackson General Hospital following a short illness. Joe was born May 8, 1934 in Sandyville, son of the late Cecil and Freda Griffith Curry. He retired from Constellium Aluminum where he was a welder with 29 years of service. He loved to work especially in the garden. He was a member of the Sandyville United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ann Kent Curry; sons Kerry (Sue) Curry, Tim (Susan) Curry and Cecil Ross (Valerie) Curry; sister, Mary Ann Drake; grandchildren, Jeremiah Curry, Jodi Curry, Betsy Brigner, Ashley Betancourt, Cody Curry and Chapel Curry; also survived by 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Kathryn Walters and Linda Carpenter. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Donzel Murray officiating. Burial will be in the Kent Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of service on Friday at the Funeral Home.
