Joe Goff

Joseph Lester “Joe” Goff, 76 of Ripley, passed away suddenly on October 6, 2021 at his home. Joe was born April 13, 1945 in Charleston, a son of the late Howard and Claudia Gore Goff. He retired from Century Aluminum (formerly Kaiser Aluminum) with 30 ½ years of service. Joe was happiest when he was operating his excavator and other equipment. He was a Christian and Baptist by Faith. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lucy Bergdorf Goff; daughters Lori Goff of Ripley and Kelly (Pete) Puskas of Hurricane; granddaughter, Brooke Puskas; brother Raymond Goff and sisters Shirley Via and Wanda Schaff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and 12 brothers. Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Entombment will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may call form 1 pm until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
