John Michael Boggess

John Michael Boggess, 54, of Kenna passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at his home following a long illness. He was born May 21, 1967 in Ohio a son of Marie Justice Skeen and the late Merdith Boggess. Mike was a 1986 graduate of Ripley High School and formerly worked for WV Paving as an operator. In his spare time, he loved working on old cars and trucks. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sharon Boggess; daughters Anna Marie McKenzie (Ryan) and Cassandra Legge (Ryan); stepson Jason Saunders (Aspen); brothers James Preston Boggess and Kevin Owen Boggess; mother and stepfather Marie and Benny Skeen; stepbrothers Shannon and Adam Skeen; grandchildren Alaska and Nova McKenzie and Elijah and Jacob Saunders. In addition to his father, Mike was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Dale Boggess. The family would like to send a special thank you to Mike's cousin, Keith Boggess for the care he gave Mike during his illness. A time of remembering will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley.
