John M. Bowling

John McClellan Bowling Jr., 84, of Ripley, formerly of Boone County, passed away Friday morning, May 30, 2014, at Rocksprings Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. He was born January 27, 1930, in Boone County, son of the late John M. and Lillian Rogers Bowling. He was a truck driver with the Teamster's Union and retired after many years of service with the Kroger Company. Surviving: His wife of 58 years, Anna Cantrell Bowling of Ripley; Sons, Kevin Bowling (Connie) of Given, Timothy Bowling of Racine, WV, and Jeffrey Bowling (Connie) of Seth, WV; Sister, Mary Barker of Dunbar; Four grandsons, four great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters. A service celebrating the life of John Bowling Jr., will be Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Pineview Cemetery at Orgas in Boone County. Interment will follow the service.
