John William Gibbs Iii

John William Gibbs III, 37 of Parkersburg, departed this life January 30, 2017 following a sudden illness. He was born December 4, 1979 in Pt Pleasant and was a Mechanic by trade. John is survived by two children, Josiah Steven Gibbs and Hailey Nicole Gibbs; his mother Janette Pepper and father Larry Pepper; brother Joel (Heather) Gibbs; paternal grandmother, Mary Gibbs and aunt Mary “Bett’s” Carroll. He is also survived by a host of loving uncles, aunts and innumerable amount of cousins along with John’s best friends, Brad Boggs and Jason Harbin. John was preceded in death by his sister, Amy Lea Gibbs, maternal grandmother Ona “Bunny” O’Neil and cousins Robert Carmichael and Sara Casto. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Kevin O’Neil officiating. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call on the family on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from noon until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
