Johnny Fredrick “John” White, 80 of Ripley, passed away suddenly at his home on December 20, 2017. He was born October 17, 1937 in Harrison County, a son of the late Floyde and Lucy Riffle White. He worked in the Laborers Union, mostly as a Dynamite Blaster during construction of the Locks and Dams on the Ohio River. John was always ready to give a helping hand for anyone in need. He attended the Vista Church He is survived by his wife, Mazil Fields Shamblin White; daughters Karen White Ross, Glenda White, Thelma Crystal White; son John Fitzgerald “Pee Wee” White; step son Bruce Shamblin; step daughter Kimberly Myers; grandchildren, Lowell Parsons, Erika Parsons, Taryn Ross, Roy Fields III, Dustin Fields, Cynthia Fields, Raymond Herndon III, Jonathon White, Tyler White, Richard Shamblin, Tiffany Williams, Derek Shamblin and Mark Shamblin and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Step sons, Mark and Adam Shamblin; brother Paul White; sisters Aline Nix, Geraldine Good and Pauline Riley. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor John White officiating. Burial will be in the White Cemetery, Kentuck.
