Jonathan Daniel Cummings

Jonathan Daniel Cummings, 43, of Point Pleasant, WV left his earthly home for his eternal home on Saturday, July 22, 2023 after a courageous battle with Cholangiocarcinoma. He passed at home on the farm with his loving family by his side.

Jonathan was born January 31, 1980 in Ripley, WV to parents Danny and Connie (Jeffries) Cummings. He was a graduate of Roane County High School Class of 1998. He then attended WVU-P where he obtained an Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences. Jonathan was employed by the WV Department of Agriculture where he was a meat and poultry inspector. He married the love of his life, Krista on December 10, 2005. Jonathan had a loved for farming and raised various livestock and crops throughout his life. He also loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family. Jonathan was faithful Christian and attended Aplin Community Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of nearly 18 years, Krista (Meadows) Cummings; Children Richard (Brooklyn) Haga, Brianna Haga and Geoffry Cummings; siblings Elizabeth Cummings and Trevor (Staci) Cummings; grandmother Yvonne Jeffries; mother and father-in-law Darrell and Sarah Meadows; brother and sister-in-law Troy (Nicholl) Meadows; nieces and nephews Chelsea and Levi Meadows and Ty and Maci Cummings. He is also survived by a host of friends and extended family

Jonathan was preceded in death by grandparents Garland and Betty Cummings and Leon Jeffries and an uncle Phillip Jeffries. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents in love Floyd and Virginia Rayburn.

Funeral service to celebrate Jonathan’s life will be held 2p.m. Thursday, July 27th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Andy Crihfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Shady Dale Cemetery in Harmony.
