Joseph Leon Wells

Joseph Leon Wells, 70 of Sandyville, passed away July 27, 2026 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, following an extended illness.

He was born June 3, 1956 in Ripley, son of the late Leon and Irene Fisher Wells. He was a 1974 graduate of Ripley High School and was a Painter for Carl E. Smith Inc. Joe enjoyed spending time in his garage and having a good time with friends.

He is survived by his son, Eric Wells of Sandyville and his lifelong friends, Joseph Bunner, Gary Riggs and Michael Corns. He is also survived by many extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Wells.
