Joseph William Sohovich

Joseph William Sohovich, of Ripley, WV, passed away on Tuesday, June 6th 2017 at the age of 86. Joe was born March 19, 1931 in Charleston, WV to the late George Sohovich and Mary Yanov. He was a 1951 graduate of Charleston High School. He was a welder for McJunkin Industries and Kaiser Aluminum where he retired. Joe was an avid fisher, golfer, he loved to play billiards, and he was an accomplished motocross rider and loved going on cross-country motorcycle and fishing trips. Joe was preceded in death by his sons William J. Sohovich, G. Edward Sohovich, his daughter Katherine Peoples, and sister Vera Keener. Joe is survived by his grandchildren, Brandie Abernethy, Shea Sohovich (Michaela Sohovich), Brianne Minor (Jared Minor), Lindsey Peoples, and Nick Sohovich, nine great grandchildren, his niece Debbie Keener, and nephew Robert Keener. Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated and a visitation will be held Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Waybright Funeral Home, 511 S Church St. Ripley, WV from 2-4pm.
