Josephine "Jo" Harris

Reva Josephine “Jo” Harris, 81 of Ripley, WV, entered Heaven’s Gates on October 14, 2018. She was born on May 14, 1937 in Belgrove, WV, daughter of the late Thurman and Erma Parsons Casto. A loving mother, Jo enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She collected Cookbooks, Dolls and Cardinals. She was a cook for the Jackson County Jail for 27 years. She is survived by her husband Carroll Harris of Ripley; children, Evelyn Farra of Parkersburg, WV, Brenda (Mark) Pursley of Sandyville, WV and Kevin (Shelley) Harris of Evans, WV; grandchildren Jerry Cantwell II of Parkersburg, WV, Jaxon Harris of Evans, WV and Avery Harris, of Evans, WV; great grandchildren, PFC Devin Cantwell of Ft. Lee, VA and Erin Combs of Parkersburg, WV; sister Gearldine Colvin of Canton, OH; brothers Charles L. (Judy) Casto of Kenna, WV, Larry (Opal) Casto of Port Washington, OH and Archie (Rosele) Casto of Kenna, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Betty Gandee of Plano, TX; brothers Jackie Casto of Kenna, WV and Jimmy Casto of Kenna, WV. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville, WV. Friends may call on the family from 6 to 9 pm Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
