Juanita Cummings

Juanita Mae Cummings, 78, of Aplin Ridge, went home to be with The Lord on April 22, 2014 at home, passing peacefully surrounded by her family. Juanita was born November 19, 1935 in Belgrove, WV, daughter of the late Hoyt and Margia Fisher Fields. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Aplin Church. She also attended Evans Church of God. Juanita was many things in her 78 years, including a Sunday school teacher, farmer, mail carrier and nurses aid. Most importantly, she was a Christian, loving wife and a caring mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Junior Cummings. She is survived by her children, Louisa and Norlan Rhodes of Fairplain, Kathy Achtziger of Ripley and Chris and Carrie Cummings of Aplin Ridge; Grandchildren, D.J. Cummings, Shelia and Delmer Murray, Valerie Roberts, Hailey and Sean Parsons, Lindsey and Shelby Searls, Rachel and Gordon Rhodes; Great-grandchildren, Ben Gandee, Tyler Murray, Chase and Victoria Nicholson, Isabella Johnson, Ethan Sears, and Brianna and Brice Rhodes. Juanita was loved dearly and will be missed greatly by all of her family and friends. A service celebrating the life of Juanita Cummings will be Friday, April 25, 2014 at Noon at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Benjamin Riggleman officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Aplin Church Cemetery, Aplin Ridge, WV.
