Juanita Mcclung

Juanita White McClung, 83, of Akron Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 19, 2021 at the Summa Akron City Hospital after a few extended illnesses. She was born in Braxton County, West Virginia and was raised in Kentuck, West Virginia before becoming a long-time resident of Akron, Ohio. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed and never forgotten. She is survived by her daughter, Janie (Ted) Woods of Pomeroy, OH; grandsons, Jared Woods of Pomeroy, OH and Jeff (Kacie) Schmitz of South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Lexi Woods and Randall Schmitz; brother, William Warren (Evie) Harris of Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Ernest McClung; mother, Aline Nix; and son, David Ray Schmitz. Funeral services will be held at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley, West Virginia at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Burial will follow at White Cemetery near Kenna, West Virginia. Visitation for family and friends will be held two hours prior to the services.
