Julia "Cheryl" Barnette Casto

Julia “Cheryl” Barnette Casto, 64, of Ripley passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. She was born August 15, 1957 in Point Pleasant a daughter of the Clarence J. and Barbara June Buck Barnette. Julia enjoyed going to horse shows and loved spending time with her grandkids. She will also be remembered for her cooking, especially her cookies and pancakes. Julia graciously donated her body to the WVU Human Gift Registry. She is survived by her children Wendy England (Michael), Whitney Cutright (Aaron), Summer Carte (Fred); brothers Dale Barnette (Karen), Clarence Barnette and Darrell Barnette; sister Jackie Carney; grandchildren Michael Austin England (Paige), Megan England, Donovan England, Miranda Cutright and Kaleb Carte; great-grandchildren Oaklyn, Laken and Asher England, Evan and Vivian England and Kaden and Aubrey Bicak; step-grandchildren Jacob and Natalie and step-great-grandchild, River. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Mercy Baptist Church in Evans with Pastor Bradley Goodwin officiating.
