Justine Easter

Justine Lucy Easter, 98, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley.

Justine was born August 1, 1925 in Jackson County, only child of the late Opha and Thelma (Pickens) Hart. Justine enjoyed attending church services at various churches around Jackson County as well as singing.

Justine is survived by her daughter Dorothy Cunningham; grandchildren Steve (Rhonda) Easter, Pam (Tim) Hinzman, Brian (Rosa) Easter, Denise (Robert) Fields, Donald Cunningham, Diana (Dana) Casto and Dale Shannon Cunningham; great-grandchildren Lori (Silas) Mitchell, Kayla (Kenneth) Yeager, Scotty (Hailey) Easter, Seth (Lindsay) Easter, Chelsea (Travis) Garrison, Hannah (Jeremy) Gibson, Caleb (Brittany) Taylor, Austin (Kailey) Hall, Caitlin (Stetson) Crowder, Tyler Hall, Brandon (Karly) Cunningham, Nathan (Brooke) Cunningham, Ryan Cunningham and Kristen Cunningham. She is also survived by 20 great-great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Barbara Easter.

In addition to her parents Justine was preceded in death by husbands Charles “Bus” Easter and Elmer “Book” Bergum and her children Michael, Charles, Everett, Larry and Jerry Easter.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10th at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Deron Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
