Karin Renate Lenegar

Karin Renate Sengstock Lenegar, 88 of Ravenswood, went to be with Jesus on October 5, 2026, while surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 19, 1938, in Danzig, Germany to the late Friedrich and Maria Sengstock. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her only son, Donald Lenegar; her brother, Jurgen Sengstock; and her sister, Helga Reed.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 68 years, Raymond Lenegar; her daughters, Renate(Terry) Angus, Terry(Kenny) Sarver, and Debora(Brian) Clark; her grandchildren, Tashina (Nick) McKinney, Jasmine (Alex) Gaaserud, Brayden Lenegar, Adam Lenegar, Dustin (Courtney) Sarver, Ashley (John) Daily, Travis (Mackenzie) Owens, and Gavin (Alyssa) Westmoreland; her great-grandchildren, Nolan and Sage McKinney, Xander and Harrison Gaaserud, Oakley Lenegar, Aria Daily, and Elijah Westmorland; her nephew, Frank Reed; and her nieces, Desiree Huven, Rebecca Bailey, and Sabrina Reed.

Together, Karin and Raymond built a beautiful family that they loved dearly. She devoted her time to both her family and the church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, working in the nursery, and being a devout deacon’s wife; Karin loved caring for Raymond until her last breath. In her spare time, she had a passion for gardening, tending to her many flowers, and baking and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed visiting her family back home in Germany, traveling to Alaska, the beach and historic landmarks all over the country in which she would never miss the opportunity to read plaques with educational information. Karin will be remembered for her faith, love of her family, and the determination she held when she had her mind set on something.

There will be a funeral service held at 2nd Baptist Church in Ravenswood on Friday, October 9th at 2p.m. Pastor Parsons will be officiating. Friends and family may call on the family from 12-2p.m. with burial to follow in the Ravenswood cemetery.
