Kathrin Delong

Kathrin Tackett Delong, 84, of Ripley, passed away Thursday afternoon at Eldercare of Ripley following an extended illness. She was born July 27, 1929 in Kanawha County, daughter of the late Howard R. and Ernie Horn Tackett. She was a lifelong homemaker. Surviving: Son, Larry Kerns of Washington state; Brothers, Lawrence Tackett of Leroy, Delbert Tackett of Gay and Darrell Tackett of Leroy; Sisters, Pearl Casto of Ripley and Dorothy Tackett of Ripley; Two grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Katherin was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Delong and numerous brothers and sisters. A visitation honoring the life of Katherin Delong will be held at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, Monday, May 12, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. Following the visitation the funeral procession will travel to the Horn Cemetery at Goldtown where graveside rites will be officiated by Pastor Darrell Tackett.
