Kathryn L. Casto

Kathryn L. Casto, 88 of Ripley, passed away November 4, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House following a long illness. She was born May 16, 1930 in Vienna, WV, a daughter of the late Waldo and Beatrice Sayre Hunt. She was a Christian and was Baptized in Mill Creek and sang in the Church Choir. Her Beautiful Singing voice matched her beautiful appearance. Kathryn was a Military wife and a Modern Woman, wearing slacks very early, and in her early married life traveled the United States, living in multiple States. She loved her family and they considered her the “Best Mom” in the world. She loved Thanksgiving and making sure her family had the best possible meal and she always pleased with her great food. Everyone who met her instantly loved her. Kathryn had a big heart and loved all animals. She could visualize things and thought like an Architect in designing her home. Kathryn showed great courage in always making sure her family was taken care of even while fighting an illness. She is survived by her children, Dale Lee (Anna) Casto and Lesa Louise (Paul) Hendricks and her grandchildren, Jason, Adam, Rusty and Joy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Garnet, Ellie, Gladys, Waldo Jr. and Bob. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Jackson county Memory Gardens, Cottageville.
