Kathy Sue Garnes

Kathy Sue Garnes, 55, of Kenna passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 at CAMC Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born July 15, 1967 to Denver (Peewee) Haynes and Shirley (Shaffer) Haynes. Kathy graduated Ripley High School in 1985. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Tracy Garnes of Kenna, WV and sons Darren (Heather) Garnes of Sissonville, WV, Ethan (Klarie) Garnes of Liberty, WV. Proud grandmother of Connor, Hagen, McKenna, Holden, and Haislee. Also left to cherish her memories are her parents, sister Sarah Hite of Sissonville, WV and Karen (Dwayne) Harrison of Kenna, WV; brothers Charles (Penny) Haynes of Cottageville, WV and David (Christina) Haynes of Ripley, WV. Numerous of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones. She is proceeded in death by a beloved nephew Bradley Nathan Haynes.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 8th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Kevin Starcher officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
