William Kenneth Hamon, 79 of Ripley passed away November 14, 2021 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston following a long illness. Ken was born January 1, 1942 in Fletcher, Jackson County, WV, son of the late William and Faye Harris Hamon. He worked for Cabot Oil and Gas for many years and enjoyed Deer Hunting, going for drives and watching TV. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor Johnson Hamon; daughter Tami Cox and her husband Gary; son Greg Hamon; grandchildren Emily (Dakota) Haynes, Brandon Hamon, Brian (Jill) Hamon and Ethan Cox; brothers Hobert (Donna) Hamon, Bob (Donna)Hamon, John Earl(Jan) Hamon and Larry(Shelly) Hamon and sister Freda (John)Thomas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Brady Scott Hamon and a sister, Mildred Winters. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Joey Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Fairplain Cemetery, Ripley.
