Kenda S. Woods

Kenda S. Woods, 62 of Ravenswood passed away April 30, 2018 at Jackson General Hospital following a long illness. She was born December 30, 1955 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth Ritenour Welch. Kenda was a 1974 Graduate of Belpre High School and obtained her Nursing Degree while attending Parkersburg Community College and graduating from West Virginia University. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at Jackson General Hospital and for several Physicians in Jackson County. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael Woods; her sons, Michael Woods and Thomas Woods; sisters Janet Woodburn and Lauren Wiblin and grandchildren Andrew Shockey, Rogue Woods, Ronan Holmes and Rory Holmes. A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Following the visitation the family is honoring her wishes to be cremated. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6520 North Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.
