Kenneth Eugene "Kenny" Patterson, 51 of Ripley passed away suddenly on January 4, 2016 at his home. He was born January 5, 1964 at Charleston, the son of Carroll and Janet Alderman Patterson. Kenny was a graduate of Ripley High School with the Class of 1982. He was an Inspector for the West Virginia Department of Highways in the Oil and Gas Industry. He loved Farming and owned and operated the Patterson's Simmental Farm. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Laura Shamblin Patterson; his parents Carroll and Janet Patterson of Cottageville; Sister Annette Fulk and her husband Jerry of Cottageville and nieces Emily (Justin) Crum and Bethany Fulk and great niece Aubrey Crum; father and mother -in -law Donald and Lois L. Shamblin; sister and brother-in-law Susan and Mike Hunt, nephew Jordan Hunt and niece Alyssa Hunt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward Alderman and Marie Alderman Isenhart and Elsie and "Bump" Patterson and an uncle, Veldra Alderman. Funeral Service will be 11 am Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, January 7, 2016 and an hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
