Kenton Grant Parsons, 55 of Gay passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at his home following a short illness. He was born April 16, 1959 in Kanawha County a son of Nellie Kiser Parsons of Gay and the late Okey Parsons. He attended the Aplin Ridge United Methodist Church and was employed as a Service Technician with Southern States. He enjoyed "Hanging Out" with his buddies and going on Four Wheeler Rides. In addition to his mother, Nellie Parsons, he is survived by his wife Evelyn Nichols Parsons, daughter Tabitha Parsons and son Doy Nichols; grandchildren Mason Davis and Brooklyn Grace Nichols; brother James Allen (Tracy) Parsons of Gay; sisters Tammy Rairden of Ravenswood, Patty (Gary) Rhodes of Statts Mill and Diana (Matt) Rutter of Gay; mother and father-in-law Margaret and Lonnie Fraley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 1 pm Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Graveside Service and Burial will follow in the Parsons Family Cemetery on the family farm, Gay. Friends may call from 11 to 1 Wednesday at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. There was a benefit action and four wheeler ride held in Kenton's honor to help the family. The money was put into an account at City Bank. Those who wish to donate to the account may do so at City Bank. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the Round House at Evans for hosting and helping with the benefit. Immediately following following services thee will be a dinner served at the Aplin Ridge United Methodist Church.
