Kenvil Charles Shamblin, 67, of Kenna passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 1, 1951 at Sissonville, a son of the late Olaf Dayton and Jewell Grace Hammond Shamblin. He was carpenter along with a jack of all other trades who was always tinkering; he loved to fish, and was known to be a jokester. He is survived by his wife Penny Diane Hoschar Shamblin; Daughter Jody Rhodes (Melvin) of Ripley; Sisters Carolyn Ray (Paul) of Romance and Jenny Dillard of Liberty; Brothers Harold Shamblin of Kenna, Luther Shamblin (Frances) of Sissonville, and Jack Shamblin (Bernice) of Sissonville; Grandchildren Josh Shamblin (Daya) and Chris Shamblin (Savannaha); 4 great-grandchildren; beloved dog, Rocky; Special niece Leaann Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Comer and Brothers Gary, Leroy, and Greg Shamblin. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Home Health and Hospice for their care during Kenvil’s illness.
