Kimiko Stewart, 77 of Mt. Alto, WV, passed away October 5, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Belpre Campus. She was born February 16, 1944 in Tokyo, Japan, daughter of the late Tomoji and Tsugi Takagi. She was a homemaker and a Christian who was willing to help anyone in need. The United States was her adopted country that she loved dearly. She loved art and was very artistic in many ways. She enjoyed flower gardening and her pets along with all animals. Her greatest joy was spoiling her granddaughter and cooking for everyone in her family. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Stewart; sons Robert Stewart Jr. at home and Christopher (Melanie) Stewart of Ravenswood; granddaughter Caitlin Stewart; brother Masahiro Takagi of Tokyo; sister Midori Takagi of Tokyo; sister-in-law Melba (Rev. Ira) Keller of Charleston; brother-in-law Spencer Stewart of Charleston along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law Gary and Shannon Stewart. A time of visiting with the family will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 1 to 2 pm at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley.
