Larry David "Punkin" Boggess

Larry David “Punkin” Boggess, 75, of Goldtown passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his home following a short illness.

He was born March 11, 1947 at Goldtown, WV the only child Robert W. and Renelda Boggess. David was a graduate of Ripley High School. He went on to work at Union Carbide for 19 years before he would work as a barber at the Main Street Barber Shop in Ripley for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on the farm.

David is survived by his children Lori Boggess Smith and her husband Jeff Smith and Sean Boggess and his wife Kim Boggess; grandchildren Nathan Jones, Lisa King and her husband Ethan, Travis Jones, Kelsey Johnson and Grady Johnson.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 24th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Todd King officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
