Larry J. Southall

Larry Jerold Southall, 78 of Kenna, passed away September 17, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loved ones following an extended illness.

He was born April 25, 1946 in Charleston, son of the late Ova and Devonna Atkinson Southall.

He was a jack of all trades and was a surveyor, a farmer and a tree trimmer. He enjoyed being outside, building things (it was always an adventure when you were with him) and watching westerns. He loved his family and telling his stories, and spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his little dog, Lilly.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Dickens Southall; daughter, Barbie (Mickey) Fields; sister, Phyllis (Jimmy) Brown; brothers, Rector (Sara) Southall and Dale (Carol) Southall; grandchildren, Gracie (Cody) Shamblen, Katie (Matt) Nutter, Libby (Nathan) Cedar and Chloe Fields; great grandchildren, Kingsley, Kaydnce and Mateo (Tato). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Southall and a nephew, James Brown.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Centerview Cemetery, Kenna. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
