Leatrice Joy Cranfield

Leatrice “Joy” Cranfield, 86, of Given passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022 following a short illness. She was born January 6, 1936 at Mahan, WV a daughter of the late Lonnie and Geneva Lafferty. Joy was employed at Cedar Lakes as a cook for many years before she retired. She was a hard worker who also enjoyed working with flowers and loved cooking meals for her family. Joy is survived by her husband of 69 ½ years Frank Cranfield; children Frankie Cranfield (Joyce), Teresa Canterbury and Jeff Cranfield (Lynn); sisters Libby Williams and Rose Bragg; brother Ronnie Lafferty. Joy is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
