Leo Torres

Leo Torres, 77 of Ripley, passed away September 21, 2024 at CAMC Memorial following a short illness.

He was born September 20, 1947 in Hardy, KY, son of the late Bartholomew and Blanche Moroski Torres. Leo served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired as a Millwright after may years of service. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rita Smith Torres; children Samantha (Chad) Sergent, Adam (Melissa) Torres, Tabby Torres, Trudie (Roger) Shamblin and J.D. Torres; brother Anthony “Tony” Torres; he is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Lynn Torres and seven brothers and one sister.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, September 23, 2024 at the Smith Cemetery Ripley. Veterans Rites will be provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard.
