Linda M. Donohew

Linda Madalene (King) Donohew, 77 of Evans passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Jackson General Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born April 25, 1946 in Evans, daughter of the late Harold and Addy Madalene Kay King. In life she enjoyed gardening, sewing and pets of all kinds especially horses. In her past she loved riding horses with her husband, father and friends. She and Delphia King rode many miles together. Linda was also very gifted in quilting and embroidery. Her home church was the Evans Church of God and her favorite times were spent with family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Boog” Donohew; sister, Louise (Monk) Sayre, brothers Kenneth King, Myron King and Alvin King and brother-in-law Russell Steele Jr..

She is survived by her daughters, Tena (Robert) Good and Sherry Good; sister, Tressie Steele; brother Harley (Mary Ann) King; sisters-in-law Dianna King and Vicky King; brother-in-law Brycle (Tink) Sayre; grandchildren Bobby (Loren) Good, Tasha (Zack) Winters, Randi Beth Shirley; great grandchildren, Cameron Good, Malakai Winters, Samuel Winters and Benjamin Winters who will be arriving in December.

Linda’s family will be having a private viewing at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, and in honoring her wishes, she will be cremated.
