Linda Sue Posten

Linda Sue (Ryan) Posten, 73, of Ripley passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 3, 2022 at her home.

Linda was born December 13, 1948 in Madison, WV a daughter of the late Sewell W. Jr. and Audra Mae Gillispie Ryan. Linda was a kind and gentle soul who had a passion for helping those in need. She was very involved in Special Olympics and chartered a Buddy Club in Virginia for special needs adults. A club she continued when she moved to the Jackson County area. She was also a vital part in helping draft legislation for special needs children to be able to enroll in preschool.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Randall Posten; daughters Randi Leigh Posten and Leigh Hinzman-Combs; sister Elaine Bragg; grandchildren Cory Pittman (Erika), Cody Pittman, Samantha Pittman, Jaylen Perdew, Madison Perdew and Keegan Perdew.

In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Parsons and a stepson, Denny Paul Perdew.

In honoring her wishes Linda will be cremated with a memorial service on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley.
