Lizzie Mae Honaker, 100, of Evans passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg following an extended illness. She was born on July 17, 1925 in Kanawha County, a daughter of the late Bernard and Lilly Eplin Bowles. She was a homemaker who loved flowers and writing letters to all her family and friends for every occasion. She was also a lifelong Christian who attended the Assembly of God. She is survived by her children James L. Buzzard (Diane) of West Virginia, Walter E. Buzzard (Judy) of North Carolina, Calvin C. Buzzard (Jean) of North Carolina, Patrick W. Buzzard (Sandy) of Florida, Diane J. Buzzard (Mayle) of Florida, Lisa M. Pickens (Bill) of Tennessee, Angela J. Hodges (Bubby) of West Virginia; 28 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; Great niece who was raised by her, Wanda Young. Caretakers Jean Buzzard and Angela Hodges In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings and their spouses Richard A. Buzzard (Sue), Charles L. “Buddy” Buzzard (Irene), Paul E. Buzzard, Frances A. Buzzard (Lowe), Rose K. Buzzard (Beatty), and infant sister Dovie Mae Buzzard. In honor of Lizzie’s wishes she was cremated with no further services set for this time.
