Lois Bernadene Morris, 84, of Ripley, passed away Thursday morning, April 3, 2014 at Hospice Care of Charlotte, NC following an extended illness. She was born July 26, 1929 at St. Albans, WV, daughter of the late Charlie and Cornia Vandergrift Waybright. Bernadene was a graduate of Ripley High School and a member of the Ripley Baptist Temple. She was a lifelong homemaker. Surviving: Her husband of 66 years, Edsel Leo Morris of Ripley; Son, David E. Morris (Susan), of Ft. Wayne, IN; Daughters, Sandra Miller (Stan) of Charlotte, NC and Diana Carroll (James) of Glen Mills, PA; Grandchildren, Kristen Miller Punsalan, Lyndsey Miller Kenerley, Matthew Morris, Andrew "Drew" Morris, Jonathan Morris, Zachary Morris, Lynette Carroll Johnson, Randy Carroll, Andrew Carroll, Alyssa Carroll and Layna Carroll; Great-grandchildren, Sophia and Stella Punsalan, Cole Kenerley, Lily and Tripp Morris, Madeline Morris and Annie Morris; Sister, Ida Mitchell (Clay) of Ripley. In addition to her parents, Bernadene was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amy E. Miller, great-granddaughter Daisy Morris, two brothers, Charles Waybright and Jim Waybright and a sister, JoAnn Waybright. A service celebrating the life of Bernadene Morris will be Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastors Jim Carroll and Rick Perrine officiating.
