Lonnie Ray Jones

Lonnie Ray Jones, 62 of Fairplain went peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by his family and friends on August 18, 2012 after a short illness. He was born August 10, 1950 in Lockwood, WV to the late Lonnie and Laoma Jones. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers June Brooks Jones (JB) Jones, Roy Jones and Jim Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Carrie Sue (Price) Jones and their three children and five grandchildren, Denise ones of Cottageville and her children Morgan, Miranda and Luke, Lonnie "Scott" Jones (Tonya) of Sandyville and their children Lonnie "Isaiah", and Madison , and Jonathon Jones of Fairplain; brothers Vernon (Mary ) Jones of League City, TX, Don (Jean) Jones of Fairplain; sisters Anna (Jack) Loftin of Grafton, OH and Barbara (Freddy) Monroe of Fairplain. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lonnie was a Vietnam Veteran and was a Brick and Block Mason by family trade in Jackson and surrounding Counties for over 30 years. He loved life and his family very much and especially enjoyed his little dog Sassy. Funeral Service will be 11 am Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Siniaville United Methodist Church, Statts Mill with Pastor David Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Siniaville Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley and one hour prior to the service at the church.
