Lora Waskey

Lora Ann (Kerns) Waskey, 97, of Sandyville passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at the Ravenswood Care Center.

She was born February 22, 1928 at Sandyville, WV a daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Josephine "Faust" (Casto) Kerns.

Lora is survived by her children Wendell Waskey (Joyce), Carolyn Cooper and Nancy Long; brothers Creel, Keith, Richard and Roy Kerns; 4 grandchildren, Allison, Bethany, Krista and Robert; 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lora was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Waskey; brothers Paul and Dale Kerns; sisters Louise Longanacre, Erma Myers and Linda Johnson and sons-in-law Gary Cooper and Everett Long.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor David Stepp officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
