Loretta Jane Rhodes

Loretta Jane Rhodes, 88 of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Ripley, WV, passed away March 17, 2022 at her home following a long illness. Jane was born October 21, 1933 in Nellis, WV, a daughter of the late Jason and Loretta Hill Hart. She was a retired Science Teacher with the Jackson County Board of Education with over 30 years of service and a Charter Member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ripley. She loved quilting and any kind of needlework. Jane and her husband, Bob, loved traveling the USA and spending time with friends in the Airstream Club and Snow Birding in the South. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bobby D. Rhodes. Jane is survived by her children whom she was so proud of, son Marc Rhodes of Atlanta, GA and daughter Melody Rhodes also of Atlanta, GA; grandmother of Abigail Jane Blair and Joshua Kyle Blair both of Atlanta; sister, Joan Justice of Fairborn, OH. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.
