Lowell Glen Jarvis 78 of Ripley passed away December 20, 2012 at Jackson General Hospital following a long illness. He was born November 7, 1934 at Calhoun County a son of the late Carl Jarvis and Jessie Hicks He was a Truck Driver for 49 years having worked for several trucking companies and retired from Dana Transport. He is survived by his wife Dora Southall Jarvis of Ripley; son Jay Jarvis of Warner Robins, GA; daughters Carlita Young (Bobby) of Hurricane and Kelly Kitchen (Scott) of Marietta, OH; Brothers and sisters Oval Jarvis of Ohio; granddaughters Hannah, Katie, Tawney Jarvis and grandson Mytchell Jarvis of Warner Robins, GA; Great Granddaughter Hayden Tucker of GA, June Milam (Doke) of Scott Depot, Joan Whitlock (Carl) of St. Albans, Carol Wolfe (Greg) of Dunbar, Kathy Hyer of Huntington, John Hyer of Huntington, Beverly Harold (Randy) of Chloe, Anita West (Ben) of Grantsville, Randy Jarvis (Carolyn) of Parkersburg; brother in law Ralph Laton of Hurricane; sister in law Ethaleen Southall of Florida. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Virginia Jarvis, a grandson Joshie Young, three sisters and one brother. Funeral Service will be 2 pm Sunday, December 23, 2102 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Franklin Howerton officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be Monday at the Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, The American Cancer society or to Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.
