Mae "Maisie" Whitlock

Mae Myrtle “Maisie” Whitlock, 91 of Ripley, formerly of Charleston, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. She was born July 11, 1925 in Virginia, daughter of the late E.V. and Minnie Mattox. She was a graduate of Beaver High School in Bluefield and retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education. She was a member of the Village Chapel Church, Charleston. Maisie enjoyed spending time with family, watching football and traveling the world with her friend and neighbor, Betty Cartmill. She is survived by her son, Daniel (Sherry) Whitlock III of Matthews, NC; grandson Josh (Brittany) Whitlock of Matthews, NC and great grandson Kingston Whitlock. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Whitlock Jr. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Monte Vista Memorial Park, Princeton, WV.
