Mamie Flo Pickens

Mamie Flo Pickens, 65, of Sandyville passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 following an extended illness. She was born on July 3, 1953 at Buckhannon, WV a daughter of the late Warren and Ruth Helmick Johnston. Mamie was a housewife who enjoyed knitting, working puzzles, and listening to music, especially the Oak Ridge Boys. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dennis Pickens; daughter Lisa Burnem (Evan Hughes); Brother Lonnie Johnston; Stepbrothers Howard and Glenn Linger. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kolton and Jackson Hughes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by step-sisters Louise and Helen Hinzman. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 30th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jarrod Caltrider officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
