Margaret Smith Keen

Margaret Smith-Keen, 71, of Ripley passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at her home following an extended illness. She was born April 14, 1946 at Cabin Creek, WV a daughter of the late Herbert Marshall and Minnie Ethel Moore Smith. Margaret was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, cleaning, singing and taking care of her grandbabies. She is survived by her children Kevin Smith, Sr. of Kentucky, Ronald Allen Keen (Courtney) of Cottageville, Margaret L. Hall (Arthur) of Ravenswood, Crystal Porterfield (Jeremy) of Cleveland; Grandchildren Minnie Keen, Hannah Hall, Chelsy Braham, Jessica Smith, Alexis Smith, Amber Smith, Candice Benson, Katherine Smith, Leah Sinclair, Kevin Smith, Jr., Emily Smith, and Rebecca Smith; Great grandchildren Aliyah Johnson, Justin Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Emma Braham, Rylee Stanley, Kaylynn Wooten, Makenzie Smith, Zayne Smith, and Avelina Switzer; Sisters Ruby Jeffrey and Juanita Warner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband George Keen. Siblings Donald Smith, Lloyd Smith, Doyle Smith Eugene Smith, Jack Smith, Fred Smith, Romey Smith, and Eloise Hedrick. Granddaughter Sarah Smith and infant sister Leona Smith. Funeral service will be held 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.
