Marianna Miller Fleshman

Marianna Miller Fleshman passed away peacefully from this life October 17, 2024 .

Marianna was born February 17, 1960 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late John and Theodora Kontos Miller. Most of her life was spent in Clarksburg, WV and Wheeling, WV. She later moved to Cross Lanes, WV where she graduated from Nitro High School in 1978. Following High School she became a loyal employee of the Kroger Company where she remained for 45 years. She had vast experience working in many departments including cashier and Customer Service Manager.

Marianna loved stars, the color purple and animals. She often found strays at her doorstep, who somehow knew where to come to be sheltered and cared for. She was a devoted animal advocate and would either adopt them herself or find good homes for them. Her own fur babies, Rayne, Starr, Mommy Dog and Sophia brought her great joy and were faithful companions throughout the years. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with family. She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt. She loved preparing meals for her family and finding ways to “spoil” them, especially her nephews. She always enjoyed time with her many friends and had a laugh that was contagious.

Marianna is survived by her brother, Nicholas J. Miller (Cheryl) of Ripley, WV; nephews, Nicholas V. Miller also of Ripley and Christopher J. Miller (Maeven) of Huntington, WV; great niece, Nina Miller and great nephews, Julian and Theo Miller also of Huntington, WV.

Her wishes for a private graveside service for her immediate family will be honored on October 23, 2024.
