Marie M. Reed

Marie M. Reed, 92, of Gay passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg. She was born May 21, 1928 at Gay a daughter of the late Romie and Mazel Rhodes Stalnaker. Marie was a homemaker and 55 year member of the Gay Homemakers Association. She also enjoyed quilting and canning and was also involved with 4-H for 25 years. Marie is survived by her children Joseph Reed, Robert “Michael” Reed and Rebecca Jane “Becky” Holland. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Ann Burdette and 5 grandchildren. In addition to her parents Marie was preceded in death by her husband Robert R. Reed in 2011, a daughter, Mary Patterson and a sister, Wilma Anderson A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 30th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Parsons Cemetery at Gay.
