Mark E. Jackson

Mark Edward Jackson, 58, of Ripley passed away Saturday, April 10, 2025 at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston.

Mark was born April 1, 1967 at Hamilton, OH a son of the late George Oscar and Mary Lee (Osborne) Jackson.

Mark was employed in hardware sales which was a job he loved. He also managed F.R.O.G’s Nutrients. Mark had a passion for helping people. He loved trying to help fix things, his family said it may not always be right and may be done the “Half Jackson Way.” Mark was family oriented and loved spending as much time as he could with them. Along with his love of his family, Mark was very strong on his faith and loved the Lord.

Mark is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 37 years, Laura (Tallman) Jackson; children Ashley Virginia Lee Casto (Derrick); Mark Edward Jackson Jr. and Erica Kay Oliger (Matthew); sisters Gerogetta Jackson, Sandy Weisbecker, Judith Gullett and Evelyn Frisbee; grandchildren who he absolutely adored, Sarah Noel Casto, Cassi Grace Casto, Lincoln Paul Casto, Lily Oliger, Charlie Oliger, Mikaela Oliger and Kordell Edward Oliger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Mark was preceded in death by 2 angel babies, 3 angel grandbaby and siblings Patricia Justice, Linda Wagers, Raymond Jackson and Kenneth Jackson.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastors David Pursley and Jeff Moales officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Leroy.
