Mark Wine

Mark Thayor Wine, 64, of Ripley passed away suddenly on Monday, October 20, 2025 at his home.

Mark was born June 29, 1961, a son of the late Ernest "Amy" and Gladys (Humphrey) Wine. Mark was a 1979 graduate of Ripley High School. He was a landman in the oil and gas industry with over 35 years of services for various companies and last worked for Due Diligence. One of Mark's greatest joys in life was golf and he could usually be found at Green Hills Country Club playing a round with his many friends. He also enjoyed his weekly Thursday night poker game sharing many laughs around the table. Affectionately known by many as "Wino", he was just one of those guys everyone wanted to be around and could always make you laugh.

Mark is survived by his daughter Jennifer Wine of Ashland, KY and his companion of 8 years, Jo Ellen "Joey" Easterling. Mark is also survived by many friends who will deeply miss him as well.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Thompson) Wine.

A celebration of life will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, October 26th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
