Mary Rose Barkes

Mary Rose (Eldridge) Barkes, 93, of Given passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at her home.

Mary was born June 18, 1931 at Seymour, IN the only child of George and Katheryn (Seegers) Eldridge. Some of Mary’s hobbies and interests included crocheting and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed watching her daily soap operas.

Mary is survived by her children Brenda Taylor, Steven Barkes and Mark Barkes; grandchildren Shannon Rodriguez, Tiffany Foerster, Will Barkes, Shaun Barkes, Amy Gillette and Mac Barkes. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Barkes and a son, Michael Barkes.
