Mary Lee Phelps

Mary Lee Phelps, 87, of Sandyville passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 following an extended illness. She was born June 7, 1933 at Liverpool, WV a daughter of the late William and Effie McCord Starcher. Mary is survived by her sons Russell, Wilbur and Bill Burgess all of Cincinnati, OH; daughter Louise Fisher (Dave) of Sandyvillle; grandchildren Jacob, David, Michael and Misty. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Royce, Evan, Avery, Riley, Bella, Aries and Melanie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glendon Phelps; brothers Lloyd Curry, Freddy Curry, Earl Curry and Bruce Mitchell and a sister, Rosie Folden. A funeral service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, December 3rd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Herman Robinson officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Liverpool Cemetery.
