Mary Madeline Scott

Mary Madeline Scott, 88, of Ripley, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 26, 2013 at Eldercare of Ripley following an extended illness. She was born September 18, 1925 in Mason County, daughter of the late Bill and Sarah Coast Chapman. She was a lifelong homemaker, a Christian and a member of the Sidneyville United Methodist Church. Surviving: Son, Jimmy Scott of Ripley; Sister, Kathryn Thomas of Florida; Several nieces and a nephew. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Scott. A graveside service celebrating the life of Mary Scott will be held Friday, November 29, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley, with Pastor Chris Stout officiating.
