Mary Lou White, 76, of Kentuck passed away November 8, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House following a long illness. She was born April 28, 1939 in Roane County, a daughter of the late Benjamin Averial and Thelma Scarberry Ray. She was a retired Bus Driver with the Jackson County Board of Education and enjoyed being outdoors and raising flowers. She is survived by daughters Karen ( D.J.) White-Ross, Glenda White and Thelma Crystal White; son John "Pee Wee" (Darlena) White; brothers Oral, Chester and Roy "Pete" Ray; sisters Brenda Ray-Nayfeh; grandchildren Lowell Travis Parsons, Erika Lynn Parsons, Roy "Jake" Fields, Dustin Fields, Cynthia Fields, Raymond "Scooter" Herndon III, Jonathan White, Tyler White and Taryn Rae Ross; great grandchildren Addison Belle Parsons, Riley Leigh Winnell, Hannah Tate, Lillian Brooke Fields, Lynsey Rae Fields, Spencer Christian Fields, Lena Grace Nicholson, Arianna Richards, Jocelyn Renee White and Kiley Paige Herndon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Allen Smith Harris; brother Okey Ray; sisters Freda Clevenger and Gladys Jean Thomas; grandson Joshua Kyle Parsons and great granddaughter Lanie Mae Fields. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the White Cemetery, Kentuck. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
