Mattie Willadeen Poling

Mattie “Willadeen” Skeen Poling, 92 of Ripley, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2017 at Ravenswood Care Center following a long illness. Willadeen was born on September 28, 1924 at Kenna. She was a 1941 graduate of Ripley High School and retired as the Head Cook at Cedar Lakes Conference Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Odell Skeen and Howard Poling and son Sam Skeen. She is survived by brother Paul (Brenda) Parsons of Millwood; sisters Cathleen Burdette of Akron, Ruth (Glenis) Burdette of Akron, Ruby (Rudy) Hersman of Newark, OH and Janet (Charles) Boggess of Kenna. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 4:30 pm Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jimmie Compton officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 2:30 to 4:30 Wednesday at the funeral home.
