Melvin J. Hartley

Melvin Junior Hartley, 78, of Leroy passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley. He was born March 17, 1943 at Liverpool, WV a son of the late Orville and Ruth Simons Hartley. Melvin worked several jobs through the years including Carl E. Smith and in the logging industry. Melvin enjoyed spending time and having a good meal at The Downtowner or Granny’s Grille in Ripley. Melvin is survived by his children James Hartley, Lee Hartley, Tommy Hartley, Scottie Hartley and Carolyn Hartley and a brother, Ernest Hartley. Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 31st at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
